Is Northside Community Church non-denominational?
We consider our church to be one expression of God’s universal church. Within the boundaries of the Bible, we neither encourage nor teach religious division, where one denomination or church group is considered superior to another. Although we are autonomous in matters of governance and pastoral leadership, we are not a “lone ranger.” Some work of Northside Community Church requires that we cooperate with other churches. We are affiliated with other churches–collectively called the Advent Christian Church – through which foreign missions, publications, Bible-training, camps and church planting are carried out. The Advent Christian Church is a Protestant, Evangelical denomination, not to be confused with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Our congregation is composed of persons from across the spectrum of Christianity: Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, Catholic, Episcopal, etc. Few persons at Northside Community grew up as part of a church affiliated with the Advent Christian C
