a man that many have never heard of. Norman Borlaug is not a famous or household name. Yet, this one individual may have saved more lives than any other human being, in the history of mankind. He was a Nobel Prize winner in 1970. He even received the Congressional Gold Medal from former President George Bush. So what did this man do to make him honored by so many, but also unknown to many? First, you don’t know about him because, when he was honored as the greatest living American, there were no cameras or newsmen present. They just didn’t consider this honor as newsworthy.
