Is Nivea creme really the same thing as Creme de la Mer?
The German version is rumored to be the same thing. The US version has different ingredients. You can check the back of the jar to see where the specific Nivea product is manufactured to find out whether or not you are buying the German version. When I was in Taiwan, I saw Nivea cream that was labeled “Made in Mexico” and “Made in Shanghai”. Although they were both on the same shelf, they had different product ingredients. The “Made in Germany” version is supposed to be the closest match to Creme de la Mer.
