Is Nioxin for thinning hair a worthwhile/ effective product?
I’ve used it for about two years now but I can’t say that it’s done much for me. Maybe I would have lost lots more hair than if I hadn’t been using it but I doubt that. Why am I still using it you might wonder? Here’s the story: About 2 years ago I was getting my haircut and the stylist commented on my thinning hair and proceeded to recommend the Nioxin shampoo, conditioner, special sauce, and hair gel. She said her husband used it with great results and was getting alot of new hair regrowing. I thought “why not?” So I bought everything. I used up the special sauce (can’t remember the real name) and didn’t bother getting anymore since it was expensive and wasn’t helping. The hair gel I used half of and threw away the rest because it smelled so nasty that I could no longer justify do that to myself.
