Is NextGen EHR certified for these reimbursements?
Per wording within the IT legislation (HITECH-provisions), a provider must be using “certified EHR technology” that meets specific standards outlined in the bill. Those standards will be available shortly using the Certification Commission on Health Information Technology (CCHIT) standards as a starting point. However, NextGen has been among the first group of EHR systems certified every year that the C-CHIT certification standards have been in existence and NextGen is committed to certification under the evolving standards of the stimulus bill.
