Is new thought metaphysics becoming a theology of the past with the new spiritual emergence of quantum physics?
Physics and Metaphysics: A Parallel Quest Spirituality is quest for the ultimate reality, the unity of existence beyond endless pluralities of manifestation. Science usually concerns real nature of the physi-cal universe within space-time-causality. In its parallel quest for ultimate reality physical sciences are crossing the barriers of physics, entering the domain of metaphysics. Even scientist Stephen Hawking says: “I think that time, space and everything else are really in us. They are just mathematical models we have made to describe the universe”. Now the object and the observer scientist, knower and the knowable, are mingling together in a probability-wave of pure consciousness; a mathematical abstraction. Scientific materialism dating from Newton, Descartes or Laplace with atoms as the building block had been a study of matter essentially separate from mind or subjective observations.
