Is NeuroSpark® the same as other omega-3 supplements?

0

No. Compared with most other omega-3 fish oils, NeuroSpark is richer in DHA, so it’s better for the brain. Our brain, our blood and breast milk all have more DHA than EPA omega-3 fatty acids. NeuroSpark and most of the fish we eat, including salmon, provide this same ratio of DHA to EPA. However many fish oil capsules sourced from Northern hemisphere fish have more of the shorter omega-3, EPA. These oils are not recommended for pregnant women and children because they do not have the best ratio of omega-3’s. If you are taking omega-3 fish oil for heart or arthritis, most likely it will have more EPA than DHA. We suggest you change to NeuroSpark to provide a ratio of DHA to EPA that is closer to our body’s natural ratio.
