Is Neuraltherapy better than Acupuncture ?
Acupuncture uses a different approach, either a “westernized” approach as it is taught by the British Medical Acupuncture Society, or a number of other schools – TCM, Japanese style, Yamamoto…. The important difference is that Neuraltherapy works specifically via the Autonomous Nervous System and can treat or at least uncover root causes of ill health via treatment of “Interference Zones”. It is a doctor-only skill and requires knowledge of anatomy, apart from conventional general medical training. The second aspect is that the preferred mild and short acting naesthetic Procaine/Novocaine has many therapeutic effects on its own – it normalises tissue perfusion, is mildly antiseptic, can be helpful with difficult wounds and appears to improve low mood and stress related symptoms alongside. While it is legal in the UK that persons without medical training can provide Acupuncture I suggest to consult a medically trained doctor, whatever your choice of method.
