Yes. The issues in negotiating a commercial deal are usually clear cut and tangible. In a divorce the parties bring to the negotiating table the emotional baggage they acquired during the marriage. People also bring hurt feelings to the bargaining table when they believe the other party is at fault in bringing about the divorce, for example, the other spouse has committed adultery.
