Is NBD Online Secure?
Access to NBD Online is protected by your Login ID and two secret codes, a Password and a PIN. You can personalise all three at anytime. As an extra security measure we suggest that you change your Login ID, Password and PIN as part of your first login to NBD Online and at regular intervals thereafter. In addition to this, NBD Online uses a 128-bit encryption key to encrypt all messages between your PC and the Bank. Encryption is a means of scrambling information for transmission, in this case, between your PC and the Bank’s computing systems. Information that is encrypted at one end is decrypted (decoded) upon receipt at the other end. 128-bit SSL encryption is the strongest, most secure form of encryption that is available for Internet based services. The systems are also well protected by firewalls. We have also introduced an additional layer of security in the form of dynamic authentication which requires you to input additional authentication codes to complete selects transactions
