Is Nazi a common last name in India?

0

Totally a misinformation received by you. There is no such first/middle/last name in any of the regions of India, in any community. For your information, no Indian language has a phoneme for ‘z’ at all and no alphabet exists in any of the Indian languages. Only the Persian and Arabic words that were adopted by Urdu language have crept in Hindi and some other languages with the phoneme ‘z’, and even today ‘z’ is either written and pronounced as ‘j’ in Indian languages or written with a dot below the alphabet ‘j’ but there are hardly handful of people who read or pronounce it in any manner other than ‘j’.
