Is Nakamichi discontinuing the manufacturing of cassette decks?
Word is, that as of the beginning of 1996, Nakamichi discontinued cassette deck manufacturing. While it is a strange thought to picture a world without new lines of Nakamichi tape decks every few years, we must remember that the hey-day for Nak decks was really in the early 80’s, so the best of all machines have already been made and will offer many years of faithful service. Additionally, mechanical and electrical parts for most machines will continue to be available for quite a while.
