Is my tread wear effected by underinflation?
Underinflation increases irregular wear since it causes the tire footprint to elongate and changes the optimal footprint. Due to higher temperatures in underinflated tires and the change in their footprints, tires that are 20% underinflated will lose 12-16% of their tread mileage.
