Is my running routine ok for 5k race, losing weight, and general overall fitness?

I would say that your training programme is OK for a 5km run. The fact that your training programme is a 5km run suggests that you can do the run for life with no problem. Go and have fun and raise loads of ££££. Keep challenging yourself with the hill course and beating your time – its good to have a challenge. Generally the advice about running consecutive days is running all week really. Running Tuesday and Wednesday and then a days rest is fine – don’t worry about it. If you are improving your running then you arn’t over doing the running (you might be if you reach a peak for an unknown reason). Generally a couple of days rest a week is good to let your legs recover and build up your energy reserves again. If you run longer or do a long session then have 2 days rest afterwards. 9 portions of fruit and vegetables a day…. chocolate grows on trees and is a fruit so I can say that I eat that too!!
