Is my post pregnancy bleeding normal?

Heavy bleeding is normal after a birth, especially one that was as traumatic as yours. The stitches most likely dissolved, unless the doctor told you to come in at a later date to get them removed. Often times the rips/tears/cuts that happen during a birth will heal naturally on their own, but ones that you are describing might take some bed rest to heal properly. Suggestions to help you heal faster: 1) Move slowly 2) don’t lift anything (including your baby. Have someone hand the baby to you) 3) don’t do anything that will scare you 4) don’t watch scary movies 5) rest a LOT! Go ahead and call the doctor that delivered your baby and tell them what is going on. Bleeding that heavily is not good for your immune system, and you need strength to take care of your precious bundle. Be careful!!! Blessings!!!
