Is my monroe piercing healing normally?

I haven’t gotten a monroe piercing…but my lip was pierced with the same type of jewelry that is used for a monroe. (the flat back lip stud) The swelling that you have, which is normal, is what is causing the flat end to feel like its going into your skin. You can help the swelling go down by sucking on ice or taking some ibuprofen. Also you said that the swelling is worse in the mornings…I had this problem while my lip piercing was healing and all it took to remedy it was propping my head up more with pillows when I was sleeping. The white liquid that you’re seeing is also normal, you should only be concerned if the discharge you’re seeing is green, red, any other unusual color, or smells bad, which would indicate an infection. If the piercing feels tight, you should go back to the place you got pierced and have them put in a longer piece of jewelry.
