Is my golden retriever puppy purebred?
Breeders will tell you anything to get you to buy the dog. There are mixed breeds that could pass for purebreds. Unless they have paperwork from a reputable organization such as the American Kennel Club, you’ll never know for sure. By the way, the dog’s snout looks too tapered (long and thin) for that age, so I suggest you get him neutered when he reaches 6 months of age. You aren’t sure if he is purebred, and, even if he was, he doesn’t have an ideal genetic make-up for breeding (nor is he registered). Hope you didn’t pay more than a hundred dollars for an unregistered puppy.
