Is my eighteen year old daughter allowed to give herself time off of college due to stress?
Yes and no. Like the answer said before, what she does is down to her at college. It’s not a legal requirement that she attends, it’s the requirement of the college, so no, no one will get into any LEGAL trouble and as your daughter is eighteen then any decision that she makes is her own responsibility. However, if she misses three days of work it can be a lot to catch up on. She might want to ask them if she can have it e-mailed to her so that she may do it at home. That way she has her own space and time. If she didn’t take time off to grieve then I strongly recommend it. It sounds like she tried to just work her way through tough times and it hasn’t paid up. She needs a few days to address things and maybe talk it over with someone. Hope everything goes OK for her.
