Is my dog eye infection contagious to human?
Since you don’t say what your dogs infection is, no way to answer you. However, it is very unusual for anything to cross species – most dog problems don’t go to humans and washing your hands likely prevents any chance. We currently have a foster that came in with raging eye infection, she has been on antibiotics and eye medication for over 3 weeks, she has limited vision the infection was so bad — and nobody who handles her has gotten any of her infection, it just doesn’t happen normally. Ask your vet if you are worried – but I much doubt you got anything from your dog.
