Is my department automatically exempted from participating in the language survey if it meets the criteria contained in the Act?

With the exception of the State Compensation Insurance Fund, all state agencies are mandated to conduct a biennial language survey and report their results to the SPB by October 1st of every even-numbered year. The Act allows a department to request an exemption from participation in the language survey. The department should complete and submit a Request for Exemption (Form G) to the SPB by the required date.
