Is my child being born developmentally disabled a curse from god for my sins?
No, your sins have absolutely nothing to do with the condition of your son. However, because of our (all of ours including your family tree which brings you all the genes and chromosomes you have to pass to your offspring) sins we have placed ourselves in terrible genetic condition. You are not being punished for any sin by giving birth to a disabled child. It is not a curse. God has not “done” anything to your family. God does not test us, he does allow us to be tested however. He will not allow us anything more than we can handle without giving us a way out. Having worked with disabled children and adults for 20+ years, I can tell you that a disabled child has brought the best and the worst out in many families and individual family members. Allow this child to create a close bond within your family. Allow the extra responsibilities that this child will require to bring you all together.
