Is my Bearded Dragon cage suitable for a Bearded Dragon?
Looks great, but just be aware that you will have to get a bigger tank when the beardie gets older. A 40 gallon breeder is the minimum for one adult bearded dragon. Definitely get that second food dish. Also, make sure you don’t use sand for any dragon that is under 13″ from nose to tail. When you say “flourescent tube” light I assume you mean a UVB light, correct? Make sure you are replacing this bulb every 6 months, as it will lose its effect over time. Also, make sure that the basking site allows your beardie to get within 10 inches of this bulb, as it will be useless if he can not get close enough to absorb the UVB rays. Make sure there is no glass or plastic between this light as well. I can’t really tell, but your hood looks sort of like an aquarium hood. If it is, you’ll need to remove that plastic covering they put over the tube light. UVB rays can’t penetrate glass/plastic. Finally, get two more thermometers. You should have one on the warm end, one up at the basking site, and
