Is my 300w computer power supply is to weak and causing my computer to crash?

The power supply is one piece of hardware that you want to spend your money on. Forget about cheapo emachines power supplies. The high-end power supplies are important, and DO make a difference. Your power supply provides clean power (without interference) to all of the parts in the system. If the amount of power going to the hardware isn’t a smooth current, you may damage your computer. Think about it this way: You have just spent your hard-earned money on a brand new Ferrari. The fuel you’re going to fuel it with is going to be clean, high-octane stuff, right? You’re not going to pump gasoline full of crap and dirt into your tank, that would damage it! The same applies to your computer. If you’re going to spend your money on one part of the computer, spend it on the power supply.
