Is Musically Fluent a quicker way of learning?
It could be a quick method if you practice with dedication but it is absolutely not a short cut. Sadly, there are many teaching programmes out there that make extraordinary claims about how easy and quick learning music can be and these claims can be very dangerous to potential music students who often become discouraged not only by the dissatisfactory results but by the fact that they failed to find it as easy and quick as was claimed. However, I can claim that a musician who is really fluent with even the most basic musical language elements can play a melody using those elements with all the expressive quality of a professional player! I hear so many people play or sing who have been learning by a traditional method for years they may even have passed advanced examinations but their playing sounds stiff and unmusical and they cannot improvise at all!
