Is music education required to play punk rock?
When first deciding whether or not it is necessary to have a formal background in music education to actually play punk rock music, you must first define what punk rock is. There are always the time signatures and certain use of chord progressions and styles that help define technically what punk rock should be categorized as but there is a much deeper momentum that puts that style of music in its place. That is the attitude that thrives with-in the depths of punk.
