Is murtagh still under the rule of galbatorix?(Inheritance series)?
In brisinger, the third in the series, there will be one more so it isn’t called the inheritance trilogy its called the inheritance series or something like that. Anywaay, back to the answer, yes he is still under galbatorix’s control, but only because he knows murtagh’s true name. But what we find out in brisinger as does eragon is that your true name can change if you as a person changes. If your true name chnages then the person that has control over you will no longer have control over you. Eragon explains to murtagh that he can change his true name and murtagh believes eragon, but doesn’t have faith that he will change or that it can happen for him. This is why I love murtagh soooo much. So in the end he is under his control, but there is hope. You should definitely read brisinger, I absolutely loved it, it is my favorite of the three. Cannot wait till the fourth and I think the final book comes out.
