Is mud obstructing or hindering any lake activities?
No – people can still enjoy the same water activities they did before. However, Hite Marina’s water-based facilities have being relocated to Halls Crossing Marina and Bullfrog Marina so that vacationers will still be able to enjoy lake amenities during the low lake level conditions. Included in the relocation is the floating store as well as the fuel docks, boat pump out, and all boat rentals. All of Hite Marina’s land based operations will remain open — lodging and housekeeping units, store, gas station and dry storage facilities will continue servicing the public. Hite Marina’s National Park Service Ranger Station and primitive camping area also will remain open. All boaters traveling to Hite Marina are advised to carry enough fuel for roundtrip travel as there will be no on-water fueling, docking or boat pump-out capabilities beyond the Halls Crossing Marina, effective July 28, 2003.
