Is MS Dhoni a greddy selfish cricketer?
MSD is not a greedy cricketer as he is already a satisfied lot..with plenty of money to live happily for long……he skipped test series becoz of non stop cricket for past two years….plus he is wicket keeper who needs to concentrate 100%…its more exhausting than batting for 2 days…and he scored many runs….so he can be justified….for the break….just for his keeping role Coming back to his ads and commitments to cricket..He is from Ranchi…nothing to take anything away from tat…but he is a guy who wont be dynamic and inspirational as Ganguly..he is someone who if given something to him he can work out things in his ways but wont go beyond that….Ganguly went way beyond his ability to get things done thats why he was effective and can do anything with little potential…but this flamboyant hero wont go tat way and so you will see him taking breaks…and all sorts
I agree about Dhoni being a selfish cricketer but i dont agree about your rant about him advertising cement. Ian Botham has advertised a breakfast cereal for a long time now, Brett Lee advertised cereal in Australia too! and what about Warney and those hair-loss adverts. I dont understand why MS Dhoni is being groomed as the next India Test match captain. Ive not seen many players in the last 5 years skip a test match series because of being tired (was that even the reason!) Kevin Pietersen got a huge amount of criticzm for even talking about about being tired, and Dhoni has the cheek to skip an important Test match series, now what commitment does that show to the Indian team. Maybe Dhoni skipped the series as a point to make to the selectors, that he wanted to be the captain for that series, i think he does care a lot about the Indian cricket team, but he is selfish enough to want the team for himself instead of playing for a legend like Kumble.
