Is MRPS of any use if it cannot cover street, store and random house surveys?
Yes. It is true that MRPS cannot help where there is no previously available sample frame with respondents names and contact details to screen against the MRPS database, therefore random contact methods would be unaffected by MRPS. At worst, the situation with these methods would be no better with MRPS than it is now. However, because MRPS cannot cure everything is a very poor reason for it not being allowed to cure anything. It is better to light a small candle than curse the darkness.
