Is Mozambique a safe destination?
Mozambique is not a dangerous place to visit; however, there are incidents of muggings, robberies, rape and murder. Normal precautions should be taken when visiting this country. Women should never walk alone on beaches, but it is advised to check with your hotel/lodge where the dangerous areas are. In general, Mozambican people are warm, friendly and hospitable and you will encounter far less hassle here than many other African countries.
