The school of thought is that as technologies, standards and markets become more mature, the need for middleware to connect disparate systems will disappear. That leaves systems planners wondering if they should invest in RFID middleware or architectures that require it. ” Hear ye, John! You are speaking to the converted. Why would a system planner recommend connecting disparate systems with middleware when they could have ONE PLATFORM that was specifically designed to go beyond middleware? Well, they wouldn’t if they can get more than middleware for the same price. Ops Managers are looking for options to create device agnostic links within an embedded platform. Why?
