Is Mobile Lifeline guaranteed to protect data on stolen computers every time?
Mobile Lifeline is an extremely effective way to protect data on lost or stolen computers. We cannot, however, guarantee it will be successful in every case. For example, if a file is being accessed by an application while Mobile Lifeline’s protective actions are taking place on the lost computer, the file may be locked and therefore inaccessible to the protective actions. We agree with industry experts that the best security is a layered approach where Mobile Lifeline is used in concert with resident security such as password protection and encryption.
