Is MLM a Good business?
• I have tried a few MLM’s — the last one I tried I was REALLY fired up about and I gave it my all for three years. I made a few hundred dollars over my initial startup cost, but people get tired of you bugging them, and it’s all about signing up new dealers — your friends are your first contacts. It’s a good way to make enemies of your friends — they will hate to see you coming. All MLM’s are about signing up others to be dealers — you do not make much money on whatever the product is. You can probably make a little up front because of startup bonuses, etc, but if you cannot sign up more dealers, and then help those dealers sign up more dealers, and then help their dealers’ dealers sign up more, you will not make money. You need to create a “people tree” — with lots and lots of branches that have branches that have branches. It’s kind of like the old chain letter — chain letters would all work if no one broke them! But people don’t believe in them, so they never make it very far
