News that the disappearance of a Harrisburg woman will be featured on a national television show was greeted as good news by family and police — but for different reasons. To Michelle McMullen’s parents, the Sept. 28, 2008, disappearance of their daughter, then 27, is an abduction. They hope the case’s exposure on the Investigation Discovery channel will lead to her safe return. Police view the case as a hunt for a fugitive. McMullen is accused of stealing more than $2,000 from a Susquehanna Twp. church where she worked, and investigators believe she took off — leaving behind her son, then 6 — to avoid prosecution. They hope someone will see the show and call with a tip that will lead to an arrest. As for the producers of the show, the case is captivating. “It’s a very compelling story, with many twists and turns,” said Joseph Bergan, an associate producer with Peacock Productions, a division of NBC News that produces the series “Disappeared.” “We thought it would make for an intere
