The same is not true for handheld devices, however. Even though Windows Mobile may seem similar to the operating system you and I run on our PCs, Windows Mobile updates arent always made available for our handhelds. In fact, many Windows Mobile updates are released for newer devices, but not for old ones. The good news is that this could all change. Microsoft recently posted a job listing for a Lead Software Development Engineer. While the title doesnt sound particularly interesting, the job description makes us think Microsoft is working towards some new features for Windows Mobile devices.
