Is Mexico in danger of having their economy collapse soon?

If Mexico was more on the Latin American side of the Economy they would not have problems in the short term and would have time to prepare for the backlash that will surely hit by the end of this year or beginning of 2010. But being in NAFTA sort of complicates things quite a bit, the meltdown is contagious. The basic problem is that the banks in the US, national and foreign, made very bad and greedy deals, they sold homes and gave huge credits to people who could not afford them, those papers are called toxic assets. Then they sold those toxic papers to other banks abroad and the meltdown spread like the flu. If Mexico is not taking the corresponding actions right now they are in trouble in the very short term.
