Is methanol solvent is toxic to health then why dont we prefer for extraction of metabolites?
I’m not sure what you mean exactly, but if you are referring to the use of ethanol instead of methanol in laboratories, then the most obvious answer is that methanol is too dangerous to allow students/inexperienced researchers to use, and 9 times out of 10, ethanol does the job just as well as methanol
