Is Metacam labeled for other species and indications in other countries?
Yes. In Europe, Canada, and Australia, Metacam usage in dogs is also indicated to alleviate post-operative pain. Note: Metacam Solution for Injection has just received approval in the U.S. for use in cats for the control of postoperative pain and inflammation associated with orthopedic surgery, ovariohysterectomy and castration when administered prior to surgery.
