Is Mepore Film & Pad showerproof?
The film on Mepore Film & Pad has been proven waterproof as long as undamaged. However if there are creases between the dressing and the skin there might be a risk for soaking the wound pad when taking a shower, leading to a need for dressing change. In order to get an optimal adhesive bond to the skin it is important not to stretch the dressing at application. Firmly smooth the adhesive border onto the skin to obtain proper adhesion.
