You do NOT need to be a member of the American Radio Relay League, nor do you need to be a member of any amateur radio group. We accept all hams, no matter their affiliations as long as they adhere to the A.R.E.S charter. All that is necessary is the desire to effectively serve our city, county or state emergency response agencies in times of crisis.
