Is meeting people on line for romance a good idea?
It’s a good place to meet people. And you know most of the people posting are looking to meet others. The main warning I give is that eventually you are going to have to meet offline. And, DON’T give your first name/last name, phone number and address to the other person before you meet them face-to-face. Remember this: while most people are looking for love and/or sex, some people are looking to hurt you and, unfortunately for my sex, most of the people out there looking to hurt others are men. Further very few people have gotten hurt by someone they believed, before the meeting, was going to hurt them. They went into the meeting thinking this is the guy/girl of my dreams or this is who I always wanted not this guy/gal is gonna steal all my money or rape me or kill me or otherwise hurt me. So, until you have met someone face-to-face, the information they need to locate you should not be given out — particularly if you are a girl/woman. The first meeting needs to be somewhere safe —
