Is mediafire a safe downloading site?
Mediafire isn’t actually an illegal downloading site. It’s a file hosting site for people to upload files for storage or sharing (although copyright infringement is against their terms). Kind of like Rapidshare only better in my opinion. As for whether you can get viruses from there well yes if someone uploads a virus that you then download. I have never got a virus from there but then I don’t download from there I just use it to store my own files. The simple truth is NO p2p or torrent downloads are guaranteed safe you are always at risk of picking up a virus or some other form of malware. You just have to be careful with what you download – scan them with your antivirus before you run or open them. And no that’s not meant as a lecture, I don’t care one way or the other what people download.
