Is media a good course to study in college?

A media course isn’t just about making video’s, there is a hell of a lot of theory that goes with it just like any other course. Please don’t go into this with a closed mind thinking that all you will be doing is making video’s and being active all the time because that’s really not what you will be doing. Have a look into the course a bit more, find out the exam board and look up the course syllabus online, if you are interested in that then go ahead and take the course. A lot of people end up quitting media because it is a lot more work than they realised. As for job prospects, the competition is high. If you are serious about wanting to do this as a career then you need to get yourself signed up for a lot of work experience, working with different camera’s, different editing systems in order to build a strong portfolio. Most places wouldn’t look twice if you cannot show you have more experience than anyone else, you need to make sure you stand out through your work 🙂 Hope this hel
