Is Mazatlan, Mexico safe?
I was there last October. I stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Resort. It had 2 huge pools and was right on the ocean. We found Mazatlan totally safe.It was very americanized, all the restaurants across the street spoke english and were very reasonable. Corona’s were $1.00 a piece. We bought Tequila and OJ and mixed are own drinks to save even more money. They charged $1.00 to take the bus into town. We found a lot of american tourists. They do have people asking you to buy things from them, but I got used to saying no thank you, and they left you alone. Mazatlan is old, compared to Cancun, but very reasonable. The hotel we stayed at was very nice, very old authentic looking with beautiful bathrooms, all tiled floor and a kitchette. I felt very comfortable there.
