Is MaxHire web-based?
Yes, MaxHire is a “work anywhere” solution that functions over any internet connection. We host your data in a private, dedicated server partition called a “virtual private server” so that you can access your MaxHire data from any location. The MaxHire client program communicates with the data on your virtual private server using the same protocols as a web browser communicates with servers over the internet. MaxHire does not use a web browser to function, however. It uses an installed program built on revolutionary new .NET technology called a Smart Client. The client on your computer accesses web services over the internet to get data from your server in much the same way web pages retrieve data from web sites. It has some of the best characteristics of both the traditional web browser-based applications and traditional client-server applications.
