Is Mathira Water Company confident of its services?
After our reader Mr Suley Theuri said he was dissatisfied with the services of Mathira Water and Sewerage Company we asked Water Minister Charity Ngilu (pictured) if the allegations had basis (Water woes getting worse, May 20). Theuri had claimed the last time residents of Gitathi, Ngorano and Hiriga had water in their taps was 2002. We are yet to hear from either the minister or the water company despite a reminder on June 17 (Dont You Forget: No answers flowing from water company on dry taps). Theuri, who described himself as “a concerned taxpayer”, said he felt let down because earlier enquiries to the company on water shortages had been ignored.
