Is mammogram pain/discomfort related to breast size?
No, it is not necessarily related to size. It is related to each individual’s perception of pain and how sensitive her breasts are. Some women are more sensitive right before they get their period. One study has indicated that the best time to get a mammogram is immediately after a period, so if women might be less likely to have pain if they plan their mammograms for that time.
