Maldives is a very safe destination. I have been in Maldives for the past 6 years and have been to more than 40 resorts. There are millions of tourists coming to Maldives every year and there are no reported accidents from any resorts. The beaches are so calm and safe and its a Gods gift and I have seen some beaches which are like swimming Pools, all the resorts follow international standards for safety.
