Is maintaining a saltwater aquarium easier than a freshwater?
I’ve had both in my life, though none now, and I found saltwater to be far more difficult and to take up a lot more time than a freshwater aquarium. You have to check up on it every day, whereas fresh water I’d pretty much just set it up and leave it alone for a week or more. Plus it’s a lot more expensive, as are the fish. Oh, it’s still worth it, I think, but it’s definitely not easier. There’s a good site that gives you the basics and some pitfalls to avoid.
