Is lyme disease curable?
If Lyme disease is caught early, the infection can usually be fully eradicated. However, as of yet there is no test of cure. In later Lyme, most, if not all symptoms can be significantly alleviated with adequate treatment. It is still possible for symptoms to return at a later time even with apparently adequate treatment. These patients often need to be retreated for active infection.
